Thigh Lift

Loosening and sagging of the thigh skin are one of the most common deformities after excessive weight gain and loss. It may also occur because of aging. In some cases where excess skin cannot be corrected with liposuction, thigh lift surgery is required.

Surgery Process

Depending on the technique, it takes between 2-4 hours, and it is performed under general anesthesia. In cases with moderate sagging, only the incision made from the groin area can be enough for lifting. In cases where the sagging is advanced, a T-shaped inner thigh incision extending up to the knee may be necessary. You will stay at the hospital for a night after the operation. You can return to daily life after 1 week. Avoiding compulsive movements for 1 month is a must. I recommend using a corset for 3 weeks in the postoperative period.

Will there be any traces?

Since it is an operation in which excess skin is removed, scarring is inevitable. In patients who had an operation only from the groin area with moderate sagging, the scar remains completely covered by underwear. In patients with advanced sagging, the incision scar may extend from the thigh to the knee.
